BAM 2018 Projects and Screenings

Films selected for the various categories at the ninth edition of the Bogota Audiovisual Market (BAM), to be held from July 9 th to 13 th, have been announced. The films chosen for the categories of Projects and Screenings are listed below.

BAM is one of the most important audiovisual markets in Latin America, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Proimágenes Colombia with support from the Film Development Fund (FDC). The goal of this event is to provide a space to showcase national projects in the development stage, films in the post-production stage, completed films and services closely linked to audiovisual production. It provides an important opportunity for the sector by facilitating new commercial partnerships and networking. Registration for the ninth edition, which welcomes Spain as its guest country, is now open on its website: www.bogotamarket.com.

The category of BAM Projects showcases Colombian projects in an advanced stage of development with co-production potential, selected through a call-out aimed at producers with feature film and television projects. This year the market will include the following 28 film projects: Amparo by production company Evidencia Films y Producciones, Bajo la arena by Paralelo Producciones, Cantos que inundan al río by Pasolini in Medellin, Corazón mutante by Jaguar Digital, Cristian y Yimarli: Un amor rebelde by Lulofilms, Cuero duro by Rhayuela Films, El circo de Franco by Malta Cine, El segundo entierro de Alejandrino by CFA Mundo Austral, Eva by Chapinero Films, Hay una batalla ahí afuera by Corporación Memoria Audiovisual, Inti y el ladrón de leyendas by Corporación Mono Dorado, La piel más temida by Bhakti Films, La promesa by VI Collective, Las bestias errantes by Ecdysis Animation, Laurita y rencor by Índigo Cine, Leproso by Perrenque Media Lab, Lianas by Link Creative House, Mala madre by Casa Audiovisual Industria Paraíso, Manual para expropiar bancos by Gusanofilms, Mapas by Ludicrum Films, Mesa de tareas by Corporación Teregüa, Nocaut by MadLove, Nuevas fronteras by Monarca Producciones, Palos verdes by Cinetiqueta Films, Puentes en el mar by Pathos Audiovisual, Recuerdos de una madre by Antorcha Films, Regreso al mar de mis muertos by Galaxia 311 and Un punk tropical by Fundación Algo en Común.

The 13 television projects selected are Acciones sonoras by Fundación Algo en Común, Aislados Seasons 2 and 3 by Buenavida Films, Alimentástico by Animaedro Estudio de Animación, Ana Pirata by Segunda Temporada La Mar Media Lab, Cuentazos con efectazos by Lapost Studio, Egon&Finx by Grupo Área Visual y Compañía, El cóndor by Signos Studio, El rastro de la mariposa by Hierro Animación, Gipsy - Amor - Trigon by Proyección Films, Misterios de la montaña by Corporación Creandes, Petroglifos/Desconexiones by Silent Art, Vidas salvajes by Akira Cine and Yongaritmo y los polinomios donados by Unimedios Televisión–National University of Colombia.

Those selected for the Screenings category for producers with feature films in the final stages-whether in post-production or completed and ready to premiere—are as follows: #Quericopaís by René Grazzo Producciones, Angustia by 2Hermanos Producciones, Dopamina by Contravía Films, El Piedra by Miramar Entertainment, Fortuna Lake by Proyectil, Frío en la montaña by Sinercia Producciones, Historias de la guerra by Indyon.TV, Kairós by Dar a luz, La intromisión by Cintadhesiva Producciones, La venganza de Jairo by Galaxia 311, Los días de la ballena by Rara Colectivo Audiovisual, Perdido en los farallones by Farallones Estudio and Raíces Azules by the Light House.

Virus tropical in Annecy

This Colombian film directed by Santiago Caicedo and produced by Carolina Barrera will be part of the Feature Film Official Selection at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the foremost event for the genre.
