After escaping and emigrating to Latin America several centuries ago, Vlad was one of the few European vampires who managed to adapt and survive in those lands, as he joined forces with drug trafficker Harbey and created the bloody gang known as "The Coffeemakers", a drug (and blood) trafficking network that dismembers its victims and delivers the blood in coffee flasks to a secret community of vampires in Bogota. This network operates in the Bronx, the biggest and most dangerous drug dealing centers of Latin America. However, when the government decides to raid the place with the excuse of eradicating this center of crime and drug addiction, what it really achieves is that the vampires of underdevelopment now roam the entire city.

It's the 90s, Sofía (15) and her mother, Lorena (40), live a luxurious upper-class life in Medellín. The fracture in their relationship, caused by Lorena's neglect toward Sofía, becomes exacerbated when Carlos, father and husband, does not return from a business trip. The absence of the head of the family makes them experience a financial stress unknown to them. Their world falls apart without him. Lorena will do all sorts of illegal tricks to keep their home from collapsing and will finally try to be a mother. Sofía will have to confront their dysfunctional relationship, accept Lorena the way she is, and face her wealthy friends as the daughter of an imprisoned drug baron in the US and not a traveling businessman.
