In August 2017 I chose Camilo Najar - who was known as 'Son of Sodom' in social media- to be the protagonist of my first feature film. That casting delved around his life, his sexuality, the future and drugs. A week later, aged 21, he died from a heroin overdose.
Who was 'Son of Sodom'?

In her work, Onzaga combines fiction and non-fiction elements, touching the importance of memory, death and imagination, creating poetic tales that reflect different ways of perceiving reality within a strong political context. Building this way, a body of work which explores the crossroads between cinema, poetry, technology, mysticism, dance and visual arts in cinematic projects developed in Colombia, Europe and Mexico.
Currently she is working in several projects: finishing a new short film, writing her first fiction feature film The Landscapes That You Seek, supported by Hubert Bals Bright Future; in pre-production of an immersive VR-experience, and as well as shooting a feature documentary.
