CAMILA BELTRÁN

Camila Beltrán, Colombian filmmaker and producer.
Her first short film Pedro Malheur, was screened on major international festivals, obtaining different mentions and awards, among them the Jury's mention at the Clermont Ferrand Festival in 2014. John Marr, her second film, was co-produced and broadcast by France 3. With this film, Camila was a guest at the Cinémathèque Française, in a cycle dedicated to emerging film talents in 2017.
In 2018, in the process of writing El día de mi bestia, her first feature film, she obtained financial support from the Normandy Region in France. Also, the following year, the project was laureate of the CECI (Center of cinematographic writings) residency of the Moulin d'Andé. In 2019, the project won the Proimágenes-Colombia production fund. In 2020, it won the Arte Kino award at the Latin American co-production forum of the San Sebastian International film festival.
Her latest short film Pacífico Oscuro was part of the official selection Pardi di domani, at the  73 Locarno Film Festival 2020, among other international festivals such as the Dhaka International film festival and national events such as the BOGOSHORTS where it obtained the award for Best Experimental Short Film and Best Editing in the Colombian Competition.
In parallel, since 2018, Camila has developed activities as a producer inside Felina Films, a company founded by herself, which defends singular Latin-American proposals.
The shooting of her first feature film in Bogota is scheduled for 2021.
