Ambulante Colombia II Gira de Documentales

In 2014, Ambulante expanded its activities toward the south of the American continent with Ambulante Colombia. The project is part of Ambulante Global, an initiative born out of nine years of experience in planning and producing the Documentary Tour in Mexico; it represents the first formal attempt to establish a long-term presence of Ambulante outside of Mexico.
In its first edition, the festival is visiting Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena and Barranquilla with a sample that includes Colombian and international documentaries, recognized and awarded at the most important film festivals in the world. In addition to its screenings, Ambulante Colombia is organizing discussions and workshops with guests, outdoor screenings, exhibitions and concerts, all aiming to consolidate the festival as a new arena for participation and entertainment. Screenings and activities will mostly be free of charge and will be held in a range of venues, such as museums, cultural centers, theaters, schools, universities, libraries, public squares, parks and a range of public spaces.
