Having offered in 2015 an international cinema program with France and Lithuania as featured countries, and a public of 5000 people, the FIDAAC - Medellin becomes Medellin International Film Festival (MIFF), with the objective of positioning the city as a new scenario in the international film festival circuit, generating a cosmopolitan dynamic and a creative environment in the city, inviting the international public to visit the city of the eternal spring. The MIFF, happening between the 21st and 28th of June of the current year, offers in more than 20 spaces of the city, a film program focused in new narratives, with unpublished films and retrospectives of featured filmmakers, short film screenings and competitions, activities dedicated to new formats such as trans-media projects, web series and multimedia art. The MIFF school will have a serie of a Masterclass featuring international invitees, talks, a filmmaking workshop for children and teenagers of stratum 1 & 2, and an animat- ed focus offering basic concepts and practical 2D, 3D and Stop Motion workshops, with the objective of highlighting team work skills and the proposition of interdisciplinary projects with targets in the international market.
