The Villavicencio International Film Festival (FICVI) – "You are Film” – is known online by the hashtag #SoyFICVI (“I am FICVI”). This cultural initiative is put together by the same group that organizes the “Gabriel García Márquez” People’s Community Film School, which is now shooting two films, and Cinemateca Rodante del Meta, a travelling socially-oriented cinematheque that has been active in a range of spaces in Villavicencio. For its third edition, FICVI will bring to the city high-profile films like Ciro Guerra’s Embrace of the Serpent and Alfredo Soderguit’s Anina, one of the best animated films co-produced in Colombia in recent years.
