A BRIEF TOUR OF DIRECTOR CARLOS MAYOLO'S PATH

The Carlos Mayolo Retrospective: Fables of the Tropics will be held from May 15 to 23 at the cinematheques of Bogotá (downtown), El Tunal and Fontanar del Río. As part of the exhibition, 15 short films, a couple of feature films and documentaries will be screened and a discussion will be held.

EUROCINE CELEBRATES 30 YEARS

The 30th edition of the European Film Festival in Colombia (Eurocine) will take place from May 9 to 19 in nine Colombian cities. The lineup includes the screening of 41 films and the participation of Italian curator Carlo Chatrian.

TWO PREMIERES NEXT WEEK

On May 9, two new national productions will premiere in theaters around the country: Yo vi tres luces negras by Santiago Lozano, which takes the viewer on a mystical journey through the Colombian Pacific; and Sobre la mesa, a documentary directed by Elvira Hernández, which presents a dialogue between students and teachers on the challenges and aspirations of public education in Colombia. Both films are benefited from the Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico - FDC (Film Development Fund).
