Colombian presence in Toulouse

Colombia will take part in the 37th edition of the Toulouse Film Festival, to be held from March 21 to 30 in this French city, with a selection of fourteen productions that reflect the diversity and talent of the country. Horizonte y Malta in the Fiction Feature Competition, Alma del desierto in the Documentary Competition, Estamos en el mapa and Afuera el mundo cae sobre mi cuerpo in the Short Film Competition, and two shorts in the Spotlight: Miradas y voces indígenas, are some of them.

    With a Special Mention from the Generation KPlus Jury for the short film Akababuru: Expresión de asombro (Akababuru: Expression of Astonishment) and a Special Mention from the Generation 14Plus Youth Jury for Atardecer en América (Sunset in America / Brazil, Chile, Colombia), Colombia’s participation in the 75th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival concluded. At the European Film Market (EFM), Colombia also took part in Toolbox, several screenings, the roundtable discussion “Is There Equity on Screen?”, a project in Pitch Perfect, along with four participants in the Talents program.

BAM calls for proposals - second stage

In its commitment to promote and make visible the talent and growth of the Colombian audiovisual industry, the Bogota Audiovisual Market opened until March 3, the second stage of applications with two categories designed to promote new voices and formats.

At the edge of the bridge in theaters

The documentary written and directed by Xavier Markus addresses the suicides in the Pereira viaduct, where 150 cases have been registered so far. Through the opinion of experts, Radical Film's production seeks to raise awareness about this problem. With the distribution of the Distri Arte Foundation, the film will be shown at the Pereira Chamber of Commerce and later in other places in the country.
