Rain on Babel in Miami

The feature film, a co-production between Colombia, Spain and the United States, is directed by Colombian-Spanish director Gala del Sol (Natalia Hermida). It has been selected for the 42nd edition of the Miami Film Festival to be held April 3-13, following its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and its international premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival.

Two new releases this week

The day is long and dark, a drama where the shadows of vampire mythology are illuminated by the most universal human emotions. And to Señal Colombia comes Páramos II: El origen, the new chapter of the documentary trilogy Páramos, which analyzes the trifurcation of the Andes, glacial melting and socio-environmental conflicts in Colombia.

This is not your garden at Annecy

The short film, directed by Carlos Velandia and Angélica Restrepo, will be part of the festival's Off-Limits Official Selection, from June 8 to 14. It was winner of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market - BAM 15 in the ROUGH SHORTS category.

    With a Special Mention from the Generation KPlus Jury for the short film Akababuru: Expresión de asombro (Akababuru: Expression of Astonishment) and a Special Mention from the Generation 14Plus Youth Jury for Atardecer en América (Sunset in America / Brazil, Chile, Colombia), Colombia’s participation in the 75th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival concluded. At the European Film Market (EFM), Colombia also took part in Toolbox, several screenings, the roundtable discussion “Is There Equity on Screen?”, a project in Pitch Perfect, along with four participants in the Talents program.

Through the nostalgia of his childhood in Nariño Gallinazo, director David Aguilera Cogollo pays tribute to the mystical and enigmatic stories that marked his life. His documentary captures that essence, giving voice to an oral tradition that is still alive. Seed from the desert wins prize in Russia

Directed by Sebastián Parra R., the FDC beneficiary film won the Silver Taiga at the 23rd edition of the Spirit of Fire International Film Festival, held in Russia. The film will be released in Colombia on April 10 under the distribution of Royal Films.
