José Luis and Miguel Jiménez are the founders of SHARPBALL, an entertainment company that produces content inspired by Colombian culture. From graphic novels to animated shorts, they have recently ventured as writers, directors and producers into fiction films that convey their particular vision of reality. Directors of the animated short film El Rapto, which has received several international awards as the official selection of Animamundi in Brazil; Una Noche de Estas, a short film that won the IDARTES Fiction Short Film Award (2017) co-produced by Sebastián Patiño. Directors of the video clip nominated for the Latin Grammy 2019 for Best Long Form Music Video, Hotel de los Encuentros de Draco Rosa. Currently, his first feature film GUAYABO is in post-production. Authors and illustrators of the celebrated Colombian graphic novels Los Once and El salado.
