SIMÓN ÁVILA BENAVIDES
Simón Avila Benavides is a Bolivian filmmaker. He has written and directed the following short films in co-production with Congo Films (Col): Temporal (8´), participant in the Short Film Corner at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and winner of best short film at the 15th International Human Rights Film Festival of Bolivia besides participating in other international festivals; Artificiall (10`) and Chamán (6 '), distributed by Gonella Productions (Fra).
In 2020 he founded the independent production company A Mar Cine (Bol /Col), currently promoting his most recent script: Dulce, directed by Rommel Villa (Winner of the Student Academy Award 2020).
