PAOLA PÉREZ NIETO

Inercia Películas is an experimental cinema company headed by Paola Andrea Pérez Nieto (La tierra y la sombra, 2015 Camera d'Or). The company is currently developing the documentary The Invisible Border by Alejandro Álvarez Quijano (IDFA FORUM, Sorfond, Dok Leipzig) co-producing the documentaries Los Zuluagas by Flavia Montini (2020 BAM Projects) and The Option Zero by Marcel Beltran (IDFA, Luminous, 2020); the fiction films Horizon by César Augusto Acevedo (2017 BrLab, 2018 Cannes Film Festival Cinéfondation Residence, 2020 Ibermedia-Carolina Foundation film development course, and Colombian Fund – FDC, 2020), Where The River Begins by Juan Andrés Arango (2020 Cine Qua Non LAB), The Diary of the Others by Mariana Mosquera and the short film Delirio by Fernando Iriarte.
In 2019, the company coproduced the series Turbia (in post-production) in collaboration with Contravía Films and Telepacífico, directed by Oscar Ruiz Navia, César Augusto Acevedo, Carlos Moreno, Santiago Lozano, William Vega and Jorge Navas.
