Cineplex is one of the main distributors of independent cinema in Colombia, starting its film distribution activity in 1993. With 28 years in the market, it has managed to release about 400 high quality films, selected from the main festivals and specialized film markets.
Cineplex not only distributes in Colombia and Central America but with its allies in exhibition it is present with some films in Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico and Argentina.
The films acquired by Cineplex are exhibited mainly in movie theaters, continuing with commercialization in all available platforms (VOD, Free TV, DVD). Cineplex also acquires PAN LATIN Pay TV rights.
With a delicate selection standard, combined with the implementation of marketing strategies, Cineplex has managed to bring the work of renowned directors such as Wong Kar Wai, Susanne Bier, Mike Leigh, Lars von trier, Katherine Bigelow among many others.
Additionally, Cineplex represents Colombian directors for the commercialization of their films in Latin America; to name a few, Cristina Gallego, Ciro Guerra, William Vega, Dago Garcia, Harold Trompetero, Fernando Ayllon, among others.
