Synopsis

Every day in the maternity wards of public hospitals in Bogotá, hundreds of women give birth to their children. Case by case, labor after labor, a social reality is revealed after each individual situation. To wait, meet, love, defend, accept and resist, are the verbs that narrate the demystified portrayal of hospital births in Birth, Maternity Journal, as it follows several lives during the course of six days and reflects on essential aspects of life in Colombia.
