Ernesto Lozano Redondo

He was born in Bogotá in 1986. Writer, Producer and Film Director graduated from the Audiovisual Media program of the Politécnico Grancolombiano. In 2008 he finished his film studies in the city of São Paulo, Brazil; in the FAAP (Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado). Recently, He got the Master's Degree in Script Writing for Audiovisual at Universidad La Rioja in Spain. He was the editor of the film Pequeños Vagos that premiered in Colombian cinemas in 2012. He has directed and produced the shortfilms Antonia (2010) El tigre (2013) and Surfin’ Chapinero (2015) official selections at the International Film Festivals of Popayán, Villa de Leyva and El perro que ladra Colombian Film Festival at París and Barcelona.

Las tetas de mi madre (2015) is his first feature film as a producer. In 2014 the movie won the Colombian Fund for Film Development in the post- production category, besides winning the best “Work in Progress” feature film at the Film Festival of Santiago de Chile (SANFIC 10) and at FLICC 2014. The movie was an official selection at Guadalajara, Málaga, Viña del Mar and Monterrey International Film Festivals. His latest shortfilm Hasta aquí todo va bien (2017) premiered at the Bruselas shortfilm Festival and was selected at Huesca and Río de Janeiro among others, it received the best script award at the 15o Bogoshorts and made part of the Short Film Corner at the Festival of Cannes. This project was a winner of the 2015 Colombian Fund for Film Development in the short-film production category.

He’s a co-writer and co-director of the feature film Furia, project in a pre-production stage and winner of the 2016 Colombian Fund for Film Development in the Writing for Feature Film category. In 2016 he founded Zorro y Serpiente Films as an alternative to develop new formats and strategies of production. Currently he’s a co-producer of the documentary Frontier Of Oblivion by the Colombian director Yango Gonzales, produced by Molly Aida Films (Germany). He’s also the producer of the documentary WIWA El espíritu del Mar of the Colombian director based in New York, Chris Sarmanto. He is currently in the development stage of his debut opera as a director titled Nobody wants us winner of the 2018 Colombian Fund for Film Development in the modality of Writing for Feature Film, and participant of the International Meeting of Producers FICCI59
