54° Festival de Cine de Gramado

August 12 to 22 - 2026 / Gramado, Brasil

Description

The Gramado Film Festival brought attention to the Serra Gaúcha region, establishing Gramado as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in all of Brazil and making it the region’s most renowned attraction, which has brought the municipality the greatest reputation and spontaneous media coverage. Throughout its history, the event has followed every phase of Brazilian cinema, becoming a pioneer and a benchmark for events of this kind in the country. Since its first edition, which saw Arnaldo Jabor’s “Toda Nudez Pode Castigada” win top honors in 1973, more than a thousand Kikitos have been awarded to film professionals who have won the Festival in various categories. In addition to celebrating Brazilian and Rio Grande do Sul productions, the event has also included a competitive showcase of Ibero-American films in its program since 1992.
