From June 8 to 14, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival will be the epicenter of animation, featuring screenings, a film market, a creation hub, and conferences. This marks an essential gathering point for professionals and enthusiasts alike, serving as a gateway to the international market. For its 2025 edition, the festival has announced its short film selection, including the Colombian production Este no es tu jardín (This Is Not Your Garden).

Forests and their fauna evolve, mutate, and tend to decrease or disappear. Over time, human activity has tested their ability to recover, as seen in Colombia's tropical páramos and the highland mist forests. This is the premise of the work produced by the company Experimenta. After participating in the Short & Mid-length Program at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), it now heads to Annecy and the 64th Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI).

The short film won the Bogotá Audiovisual Market - BAM 15 in the ROUGH SHORTS category (Editing Lab for Shorts), receiving an SRT translation from or into English and English or Spanish subtitles from the translation services provider Lingua Viva, along with two credentials for the BFM - Bogoshorts Film Market 2024.

As for the director, Carlos Velandia, along with Angélica Restrepo, co-directed the short film Todas mis cicatrices se desvanecen en el viento (All My Scars Fade in the Wind, 2022), which was showcased at festivals such as Annecy, the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, the Bogotá International Documentary Film Festival (MIDBO), the Paris Colombian Cinema Panorama, and the Bilbao International Documentary and Short Film Festival - ZINEBI, among others.
