Its mandate is to strengthen the Ibero-American audiovisual space through financial support and open calls aimed at independent producers from Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

The projects selected in the 2025 call have now been announced, with Colombian participation across several categories, most notably Coproduction, where Colombian involvement is strongest. The selected projects include Arde un reino (Burning Kingdom; Colombia, Chile, France), produced by Rara Cine, Arde un Reino SPA, and In Vivo Films; Las tierras que te buscan (The Lands Looking for You; Colombia, Brazil, France, Belgium), produced by Marginal Cine, DM Filmes e Produções Artísticas, House on Fire, and Fenakisto; Todo esto eran mangas (This Used to Be Grasslands; Colombia, Spain, Uruguay), produced by La Selva Cine, Fernando Trueba Producciones, and Bocacha Films; La levedad de ella (Her Lightness; Mexico, Colombia, Cuba), produced by Marth Films, Ciudad Lunar Producciones, and Colectivo de Creación Gatorosafilms; Oasis (Mexico, Colombia), produced by Zafiro Cinema and Rhayuela Films; and Nada (Nothing; Dominican Republic, Colombia), produced by Alba Films and Perromocho Films.

In Feature Film Co-Development, the selected projects are Pagamento (Payment; Colombia, Argentina), produced by Ciudad Lunar Producciones and Rei Cine, and Pacora (Panama, Colombia, Mexico), produced by Aramida Films, Milagros Producciones, and Jacalito Films. In Series Co-Development, the selected Colombian project is Fura (Colombia, Panama), produced by Orión and Hello October. In the Training category, the selected initiatives are the 14th International Screenwriting Lab of Corporación Cinefilia, and the 11th Producers and Film Projects Forum – Sapcine, organized by the Fondo Mixto de Promoción de la Cultura y las Artes del Valle del Cauca.

The Producers and Film Projects Forum – Sapcine held its tenth edition between October 24 and December 2, concluding with the allocation of 395 incentives awarded by 126 partner institutions to 40 selected projects, including 20 national and 20 international titles. The call received 151 fiction and documentary submissions. Of the projects submitted, 27 were directed and/or produced by women; 12 addressed Indigenous or rural themes; 7 focused on Afro-descendant and/or Raizal communities; and 5 explored LGBTIQ+ narratives. In total, projects from 13 Ibero-American countries took part. The 2026 edition of Sapcine will take place between October and November.

"Sapcine works closely with its partners to make it possible for selected films to reach completion in each edition. This year’s awards were more targeted and more effective in supporting production and postproduction. Several projects were already in postproduction, which means they will be reaching theaters soon," said Alina Hleap, director of Sapcine.
