Con amor y sin amor premiered in Spain in July 2010 as Another Hour in the Canaries. The film tells the story of Claudia (Angie Cepeda), an attractive 30-something owner of a lovely café in downtown Madrid married to a handsome man who adores her (Diego Martín), and with a handsome son who also adores her and an even more handsome lover who adores her even more. Her life couldn’t be any more perfect, or so it seems. Pablo (Quim Gutiérrez), her lover, has grown sick of being just a lover and has left her for Elena (Miren Ibarguren), a fun-loving, sweet, affectionate young woman… prone to violence when anyone tries to steal her boyfriend. Claudia is a bad loser and unwilling to let him get away; with the help of her sister Monica (Juana Acosta) and a bit of financial and emotional blackmail she launches what at first seems a simple plan to get Pablo back, luring him far from his girlfriend in order to seduce him more easily. However, things get a bit complicated along the way.

The Colombian actresses are joined by Spaniard Quim Gutiérrez, winner of the 2007 Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor in his role in Azuloscurocasinegro (2006) by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, Argentine Eduardo Blanco (El hijo de la novia, El mismo amor, La misma lluvia), Kiti Manver (Los abrazos rotos, Luz de domingo) and Isabel Ordaz (Aquí no hay quien viva, El calentito, Chevrolet).
